The excitement, fun, and sense of accomplishment that is ignited at Wild Spirits Forest & Nature School, kindles a love a learning! This thirst for knowledge develops organically in an emergent curriculum based on the interests of the children. By connecting with nature, children use all their senses to stimulate learning. This nurtures their innate sense of awe and wonder. Having the autonomy to make age appropriate risks provided by our forest school environment empowers children to lead healthier lives into their teen and adult years. The young discoverers become more confident, less stressed, and protectors of our planet.

 

As facilitators, we use gentle questioning and guidance to spark interest and fuel the fire in their bellies for their natural desire to acquire knowledge with the development of the whole child at heart.

We focus on play based, place based child lead learning, as well as wisdom and teachings from our natural environment. We believe in the development of the whole child: mind, body and spirit.
